Will the game time card that comes with the WoW battle chest apply to an account that was a trial?

I have a trial account now and liking it a lot and i wanted to know if i have to start a new account or something, I'm new to blizzard and how its account management works, any information would be greatly appreciated.|||I don't think a game time card comes with the WoW battle chest. If you buy the battle chest it comes with WoW and WoWBC and yes you can upgrade your trial account with the key codes and you get a free month to start.
