I have letter from Account management services saying I owe $2,632, but I am an F-1 st..how is this possible?

as and F-1 student ( this is the type of visa for and international student) I do not have credit yet in this country...should I call the number they give here. It seems like a real company "Account management services INC from Orange County...even if they stole my ss they would not have access to any credit since I do not have any...what should I do?? I already check my credit reports and all of them are fine .( no negative reporting at all)|||it is a collection agency for the health care industry. http://www.amsreceivables.com/

did you have any outstanding medical bills or balance that weren't covered by your health insurance? if you are sure the charge is not belongs to you, do not send the payment and do not give out your ss# or any important personal information. you MUST dispute the collections IN WRITING within the time period on that letter.

good luck.|||Very questionable indeed. I smell BS. Look up that company on the letter on ripoffreport.com and see if you find anything. Sounds very fishy, be careful...believe it or not I got one of those for 1,300 dollars from a magazine company from Miami, FL once..crazy, huh? It was a scam...of course. 1,300 dollars for magazines LOL can you imagine!! Good luck!
