What is the difference between 1) Lead Generation/Prospecting, 2) Closing Deals and 3) Account Management?

Best answer gets 10 points|||Lead generation/Prospecting is the process of finding potential customers (leads) through various ways, either though cold calls, internet searches, e-blasts, advertising etc.





Closing deals is the art of working with a potential customer and to convince that customer to purchase whatever you are trying to sell, and then actually having the customer place an order..





Account Management is sophisticated customer service. A good account manager will follow an order from beginning to end and keeping the customer at ease through the process. At the same time, the account manager should take advantage of this relationship to determine if there are additional opportunities to sell other products that the company may provide.
