Does Xbox Live have to use Windows Live ID? because I only have a yahoo email account and I sent some DLC for Dragon Age II to it. but Cannot activate it because there is no apparent way to use Yahoo on XBL. So it seems kinda butt-******* stupid if it even lets you send it to a different email Cuz then, you essentially waste it. WTF.|||Yes, you have to use a Windows Live ID but it doesn't have to be a live.com email address. You can set up ANY email address to be a Windows Live ID, including your Yahoo email.
Just go to www.live.com and create a Windows Live ID with your Yahoo email address. Then, you can go on your Xbox and change the Windows ID that your 360 is associated with.
