A "statutory" account break against "management" account?

I take care of "management" accounts of a fixed income trading book every day. My boss told me that there is a break between "statutory" account and "management" account, and I have to book a big figure in my management account to reflect the break! What does it mean, and how did the break happen...? The desk does funding for the bank's trading desks. Thank you!|||Somehow that sounds fishy to me. If you have a good relationship with your boss and your employment position is secure, then go and ask him to explain the difference. If not, make an anonymous call from a pay phone to the bank regulating agency to find out.|||Thank you for your reply! Your answer is very interesting... before I go to my boss, may I please know why it may be fishy? Would it be possible that it was caused by some accounting mistakes my team has made before? I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you!
