I am two years out of college and have been working for about a year and a half as an Account Manager. However, I know for sure that I don't want to make a career out of Account Management. What are some other careers that A.M. is a good 'gateway' for? I've been tossing around either consulting or product management, but I'd be curious if anyone has any experience or knowledge about making this type of transition?|||Business Administration degree is probably what you need to become an Account Manager with a concentration in management. It is always best to talk to a councilor/ academic adviser at your college even as a graduate.
Account Management can lead to becoming a Senior Account Manager, then a Branch Manager, followed by a Regional VP, and then President which is the top.
